As a family, there are many interests and needs to consider. We believe that visializing the plan gets everyone engaged, gives the whole family something to look forward to, and most of all prepares everyone for what to expect of the upcoming holiday. Our free template gives you a beautiful starting point to planning and adding ideas. Print it out and the whole family can continue updating it on paper. It will make for the best holiday yet!
The template acts as a check list to add all things that are booked and gives an overview of where things need to be booked. It will be easier to delegate who is in charge of booking what and for which days. The planner also gives you a clearer picture of where there is room for more activities which is where the suggestions list comes in. You can create a starting point, but once printed, the whole family can add their ideas. You then have a list of family members wishes and can consider these as a family to add to the plan, or keep them as things to try and do if there is time left over.
Once printed, hang it up for everyone to see and add suggestions as you get closer to the holidays.
The template comes in 2 versions - one with a budget which lets you track costs as you book and plan and one simple one without costs. You may want to share a version without cost, and keep the budget version between the parents.
The template has been created in MS Excel and can be customized in Excel online. If you wish to make bigger changes you should use Excel desktop version.
