The school summer holiday is often a challenge for families every year. Trying to juggle limited vacations days with numerous weeks nursery and schools are closed. Creating a visual overview makes it easier to get the full picture and to make plans ahead of time with family, friends and work. Our free template is a little smart and has a beautiful design, but most of all it is a great tool to share and engage the whole family.
The template lets you define the last day and first day of school and will then adjust the overview accordingly. It will show the weeks that need planning and you can start adding the known fact of when school clubs or kindergarten is closed, when the parents have time off work, or holidays that are already booked. We recommend color-coding plans for each familymember to immediately see gaps or conflicts. Not only will it give you the complete overview you need, but it is easy to share with your family or even extended family. We've even got you started on a suggestions list for activities which you can customize and the whole family can continue to fill out on the printout.
This template is by default in an larger paper format [A3] or [Tabloid] as the school summer holidays can in some cases stretch for 10 weeks.
Once printed, hang it up for everyone to see to add suggestions or things that are planned later on.
The template has been created in MS Excel and can be customized in Excel online. If you wish to make bigger changes you should use Excel desktop version.
